Celebrating Easter, Anew.

This is Easter, I reflect upon its celebration as a person of faith, with the understanding that there is a higher power and acknowledgment of Jesus’ existence. I mostly celebrate his resurrection as a clue to the possibility of an awaking to mankind.

In his time, though not fully awake, man did begin to see their errors post his resurrection. This dissemination of thought is why an islander from the Indian Ocean writes this.

Grateful I am for his birth and even more, for his death. He exemplifies what man must endure for living the truth: The risk of losing everything. The silver lining to this very dark cloud as exemplified is the possibility that man has the capability of becoming anew.

In the book “ Walk with Four Spiritual Guides: Krishna, Buddha , Jesus and Ramakrishna” by Andrew Harvey, the foreword alone sufficiently explains what I’m on about. More to the point are the words shared to the author by catholic monk, Father Bede Griffiths;

“Unless human life becomes centered on the awareness of a transcendent reality that embraces all humanity and the whole universe and at the same time transcends our present level of life and consciousness, there is little hope for us”

The global pandemic Covid-19 has been the worst of all cases in awhile that has forced mankind to shift their consciousness. It has become a reason to ponder what ,is not working as opposed to what business’ and activities cannot take place. It has become reason to ponder what or who we’re living for — if it’s truly for a higher purpose or to soothe our egos, or worse, please society, including family.

This year, I celebrate Easter as an occasion to acknowledge the possibility of Reincarnation for all; with the hope that Christians around the world are able to awaken to the meaning of this day, beyond the cross.
